Each of these walking tours leads you around a section of Island Heights describing the history of the town.

The Camp Meeting Tour includes the original "camp meeting grounds" on the bluff overlooking the Toms River; camp meeting cottages, original and renovated of the Methodist religious resort started in 1878; churches, past and present; the "old firehouse", school and library.

The Riverfront Tour includes many of the earliest residential "cottages" and the commercial center built to support this religious resort of the late 1800's.

The Westray Tour includes the Westray tract that was added to Island Heights after it was originally laid out in 1878. This mostly residential area includes the "oldest house" in Island Heights and the "Wanamaker Camp" situated on Barnegat Bay.
